2020 Birthstone series coin (May)
The Royal Canadian mint released the 5th coin in the 2020 Birthstone series. The 2020 May Pure silver coin with Swarovski® crystals. The first coin of the series released in January 2020. There are 12 coins in the 2020 Birthstone series and will be released every month individually, a 12-coin subscription option also available from The Royal Canadian mint.The coins are a legal tender in Canada with a face value of $5.
The 2020 birthstone coins are minted from 99.99 pure silver, weighs 7.96 grams and a diameter of 27mm. Each 2020 birthstone coins has a limited worldwide mintage of 5,000 only. Each coin comes with a serialized CoA from the Royal Canadian mint and shipped in a black clamshell with a black beauty box.

The reverse of the coin designed by artist Pandora Young features the pattern Inspired by the Celtic triskele and arranged according to the base-six system. There will be 4 Crystals on each coin. three small clear ones within the engraved pattern, and a larger one- the actual birthstone. The May 2020 coin having “Emerald” as the Birthstone. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
