NGC Astronaut Autographed Limited Edition Labels
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) in collaboration with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) offers special Astronaut Autograph Labels for qualified coins. Numismatic Guaranty Corporation based in Sarasota, Florida and NGC is one of largest and most trusted coin grading companies in the world. Since 1987, NGC has graded more than 43 million coins worldwide. The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is a non-profit organization based in Orlando, Florida that provides more than 50 scholarships annually to the brightest and most talented college students in engineering, science, technology, and mathematics.
The eligible coins are;
- 2019 US Apollo 11 commemorative coins (Default)
- 2019 US Apollo 11 Half Dollar sets (Default)
- 2019 US Rocketship Set
- 2019 Royal Australian Mint Apollo coins
The labels are individually hand-signed by American astronauts. A royalty fee will be paid by NGC to the ASF for each NGC ASF Astronaut Autograph Label used. The Apollo program astronauts signing NGC ASF labels are:

Jim Lovell, Commander of Apollo 13, which suffered a critical failure en route to the moon but managed a safe return (Lovell was portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 1995 movie version of that dramatic tale of survival.)
